Stuart founded outhouse in 2008 after 10 years in Mergers & Acquisitions in the UK and Switzerland, where he advised some of the world’s leading businesses including GE Capital, Fortis Bank, Philips and Nestlé.
As Global Executive Director of KPMG’s Transaction Services division, he was also responsible for leadership communications and employee engagement.
A UK Chartered Accountant, Stuart specialises as a finance writer and is equally comfortable in British and US English.
He has lived in the UK, Switzerland, Germany and Hungary. He has an MSc in Environmental Management and is working (too slowly) on his first novel.

Following a diverse career that includes Novartis (at that time CIBA-GEIGY), General Motors and KPMG, Barbara focuses on writing and translating. Bilingual in English and German, she has lived in New York, Detroit, London, Geneva and Italy’s Veneto region. She presently lives in Zürich.
Not easily confined to a single passion, Barbara actively pursues her interests in music. She supports a number of organisations by translating texts and organizing lectures and concerts, with especial reference to the Italian Seicento.
